5 things to start your day

Do you find some days just go wrong from the time you get out of bed?

It’s helps to have a daily routine. This gives your body and mind time to get ready for the day. When you make a daily routine a habit, there is less for you to think about in the mornings and maybe feel like you have to hurray or are stressed. It all starts with a good nights sleep.

Here are 5 things you can do to help your day start on a good note. These do not have to be done in this order.

  1. Wake up early
  2. Meditate
  3. Nutrition
  4. Exercise
  5. Reflect

Wake up early

Wake up 30 minutes earlier than normal. This also means you should go to bed 30 – 60 minutes earlier. Waking up early gives your body and mind time to switch from sleep to wake.

Meditate

Meditation helps to clear the mind and improved focus for the rest of the day. Meditation helps lower stress and anxiety. It is good for the heart and lungs. You don’t need to start with a 30 minute session. 5 minutes is a good length to start and slowly increase to what feels best for you.

Nutrition

There are statistics that show many people do not get good nutrition. This starts in the mornings. It can be a healthy breakfast, smoothie or shake. Should also include quality supplements.

Exercise

Moderate exercise help to get the metabolism going. Also it produces endorphins which helps with mood and stress.

Reflect

This is different than meditation and probably should be last of your morning routine. This is to reflect on yesterday, how did it go, did you accomplish what you wanted, did you have good interactions with people. And, then to review what will be on for today. Do you need to complete tasks from yesterday move tasks to another day?
